The JS600B's orbital cutting action allows you to adjust the angle of the blade in three different positions for a range of cuts for different projects. In the maximum cutting position, you can make aggressive cuts to cut through material quickly. In the medium cutting position, you can make aggressive cuts with a smooth finish. In the minimum cutting position you can make slower smooth cuts with a fine finish. The JS600B is easy to use for versatile cuts in wood, metal or plastic. A contoured two-finger trigger, with an easy-to-reach variable speed dial, puts you in control of the saw. Soft grips add comfort and minimize cutting vibration. The Jigsaw's improved Sightline Channel offers improved visibility to the line of cut because the front and sides of the jig saw are tapered and angled towards the blade. This makes it easier to see the line of cut and provides greater control and confidence cutting accurate curved or straight lines. The JS600B's Quick Clamp tool free blade change offers easy blade changes for both U-shank and T-shank blades. The saw works great going just straight on light wood.as soon as you add in heavier stock or curves good luck keeping at whatever angle setting you dialed in. It can be 90 even and the saw I think just vibrates itself loose.I upgraded to a JS660 on sale for less than I paid for this junk tool.
Although the manual is a little spare, I managed to use the product just fine, and it worked fine on the cuts I needed, despite one of them being a 4 foot straight line cut using just a pencil mark at twilight. It takes a minimal effort to return the angle to 90 degrees on the guide. The hardest part was opening the spare blade holder on the side.
The manual is not very helpful and it's hard to use. Don't buy it.
I found this product to be very cheap. The foot angle adjustment is nothing more than a plastic tab that should fit into a groove of the foot. Once I had changed the angle from the original setting I could not return it to 90 degrees. I returned this item.
